Alright, so here’s the deal. I really really reallyreallyreally wanted to play LION, an old simulation game that I devoted entirely too much time to when I was younger.
I looked online to see if there were any downloads, and what do you know, there was one from free-gamedownloads.com or whatever it was. The catch— post a link to the site somewhere and you’re ready to go. Awesome.
Well, the file comes in a giant .zip file and you have to unpack it, blahblahblah. So I download the file, I drop the .001, .002, etc. files into a main folder, and I start to install the game.
I spend a total of about an hour and a half on the entire process from posting the link to unpacking the game, and the only damn thing that works is the stupid “Delete Game” screen. WHERE THE HELL ARE MY LIONS?! How am I ever supposed to find that poor, lost cub in scenario mode while killing as many warthogs as I please? How am I ever supposed to procreate???
…You know, that last question is in regards to the game, but looking over this article, well…I think it provides a whole new meaning.
