mmmm... creation

i tend to think of god as a professional bowler. let me explain. one day, long ago, god was sitting up in heaven, all lonely, and he’s like, “i need something to do. i need some friends.” now, god had the angels, but they were like the people in that story “the emperor’s new robe” who told the emperor he looked awesome even though he was naked. of course angels are gonna tell god he’s cool, cuz he’s god and they’re angels. it’s what they are there for. god was like, “if i make a world with people in it, i can give them the choice of believing in me or not. if they do, then they can be my real friends. if not, fuck em. they can go to hell where that other dude who doesn’t like me is.” so god made the world. this is the point where the pro bowler roles the ball. the earth is spinning, years are going by, and the ball is rolling towards it’s inevitable end. well, while the world was evolving(yes i said evolve, evolution is a proven fact) there was a period where people were just begining to realize what was going on. god realized that people wouldn’t know where they came from unless he made it evident, so he sent his son to tell people. he knew jesus would get killed cuz jesus was the ultimate hippy, anti-establishment dude and he was going to piss off the rich rulers and law givers who said you had to pay for religion. jesus knew what was up, but what better way to prove you’re telling the truth than to willingly die for what you believe? so he died. time moved on, and now here we are today. some people believe, some people don’t. those who don’t say “god doesn’t exist. there are no more miracles, and no long haired guy walking on water. i don’t believe he is real”. now, why would god repeat everything again just to convince some people? isn’t one kid dying enough? he probably doesn’t want to go through it again. besides, most of what happened is documented by his chosen writers(with some individual opinions thrown in there too, cuz remember, man is not perfect. do you think god wants fags to die?) in the bible. so we have a general idea of what happened back in the day and where we came from in the good book. god is, for the most part, hands off now. the ball is getting closer to the pins and, barring a gutterball incident, everything should come down to a simple strike some day. we can believe in god or not. he wants us to, but if not, that’s cool too. it’s called free will. besides, believing in a god that got everything started is just as rational as believing dust collided, exploded, and somehow created a universe that could sustain life for millions of years. you know why? physics say that matter cannot be created or destroyed, so where did the dust come from? hmmmm, now that’s one i’d like to see atheists explain…
