Do your parents not understand technology? Do they ask you stupid questions? Do they send you absurd text messages? Do they use words like "MyFace,""SpaceBook,"or "The World Wide Web?"

My mom called me and left a message describing a problem with her internet that I didn't understand, and I forgot to call her back and help out. When I came home from college a month later she brought out her computer to show me the problem, which involved "not being able to read parts of web pages." The problem ended up being that her web browser window was too far to the right of the screen, so that a few inches of the window were off the side of the screen. She had been using the internet like this for the past month.

My mom needed to transfer pictures from her digital camera onto her computer. After a few minutes, she was hopeless and asked me for help. I took out the memory card and put it in the computer. Nothing was on it. I hooked up the camera to the computer, but still, there were no pictures. Finally, I had to ask my mom what she had tried before she asked me for help. She put the camera's batteries in the mouse.

My dad tried using his cell phone's camera for the first time ever since buying it almost a year ago. When I went into the camera application, he thought the camera's lens was the viewfinder, as in the "window" one looks through on a camera without an LCD screen. When he couldn't see anything through the peekhole, he turned to me and said, "Where's the lens cap? I need to take it off."
