what's your name again?

Friendship.

Many come to college leaving behind years of friendship in hopes of finding a new group of friends to share secrets with, take classes with and of course party with. Now you will always have your tight group of friends that you do everything with, but there is another group of friends, that no one ever tells you about. These friends are a variety of people: jocks, nerds, frat boys, you name it. People's social status has no meaning when you become intoxicated. That tight bond that people make while drunk off their ass is an amazing start to friendship. If you get lucky, they'll remember your name and when the next morning comes around they won't delete your number from their phone. But alas, most times there is that question. "Who is this? I don't remember who they are."

My favorite part of so called "drunk friends" is that no matter what happens, at some point you will "reconnect" with that them somewhere down the road. You'll see them at some random party and of course yell "I KNOW you, I mean don't I?" After this you begin to talk about everything that has been going on since the last time you saw them.

The most awkward thing that can happen to you is seeing that "friend" while sober. Disclaimer: This situation does not apply when you see your "booty call" while sober. That is a much different and extremely more awkward situation. And a completley different story all together. Anyways, you see this person and make eye contact and wave or smile, not knowing that they have no idea who you are, just like you not knowing who they are.

Ahh these fun times must come to an end though. By the time you are a senior you are ready to graduate and go out into the "real world". You look back on your college expierence and remember all the great times you "shared" with these "friends" of yours. Only to meet them down the road in the workplace or more likely in Alcoholics Anonymous, asking the same question you asked them for years.
