TA’s some of us have had great ones, other terrible ones. If your in a university you will have tutorials and sometimes there not fun, scratch that, most of the time there not fun.

Here are a few tips to help you through the moments when you just cant take it anymore.

1) ALWAYS have a phone or electronic device, it keeps you sane, and when the know it all is blathering about visigoths and their impact on the United States founding of Civil Liberties, its nice to just be able to get away, or tune them out.

2) Hold something! Nothing passes the time like studying or twirling a pen, key, ring, bracelet, or notebook.

3) Always have a notebook or laptop (see item 1), becaue you actually read your notes and often times realize that that last hour you spent in lecture…. yeah you didnt really learn a damned thing!

4) Have a buddy in the class so that you can use subtle body language, or utter witty comments to one another.

5) If things get dire FLIRT WITH THE TA …. not advisable on TA’s of the same gender as …. things can get weird, or awesome depending your into!

6) Just give up say screw the 15% and get the buddy that goes to fill you in on what you missed.

7) Become a TA, or fake being a TA and understand that power of being a tutorial leader …… SQUEAL LITTLE PEONS SQUEAL MUAHAHAHAH …. and im back in control..

8) Pick courses that dont have tutorials or labs!

9) Make another list or read this list in your tutorial!

10) Drop out!

Follow these and you will survive your tutorials and discussion groups ….. fight the power, fight the boredom!
