I once broke up with a girl, and I almost used the "it's not you, it's me" line. But I'm pretty sure it was her.



Some people decide that a relationship is going too fast, and they want to "take some time off." You know what that means in English? "I really like you, but I want to have sex with other people before we get married."



I don't understand when people break up and consciously decide to work at staying friends. Does this happen in any other part of your life? "This is the toughest part of my job. I know you've been here for years, but we're cutting back around the office, and I'm going to have to let you go. But can you still come in and get me some coffee every once in while? I'd really like that."



Someone once told me that they couldn't date me because I was too smart. But by believing them, I instantly proved them wrong.



There are actually some people that still use the line "We're too close of friends" to turn you down. This worked in high school, when no one understood human nature. But girls, think about what you're saying. "Sorry, I only date guys that repulse me so much that I wouldn't even want to be friends with them." Now that's class.
