Thanks for the new addiction.

First there was Livejournal. Easy enough to handle. You read the updates, click through a few of your friend’s lame photographs of him and his new girlfriend, write an entry that means you’re secretly in love with someone from work but code it so it says something like “My mug sure is empty,” and then you sign off.

MySpace rolls around. Whatever, you know? That crap was lame before like….I don’t even know. Freshman year, so 2004 sometime. Yeah, it sucked. It’s a little better now. I can stand to spend about 2 minutes or so on it nowadays, which I still find wasteful.

Facebook, though. Dear God. Who invented that? That stuff’s dangerous. I mean, I’ve wasted entire days on that. Clicking around, dazed— the post-Spring Break photo rush is always dangerous, too. Watch out for that. Hey, you went to California, too? No way!

And now….this. Way worse than Livejournal. Now I’m practically begging for strangers to say, “What’s this semi-cute girl got to say? Oh…nothing.” Yeah, well, that’s just who I am. Deal with it.

Anyways, thanks CollegeHumor, for supplying me with an addiction I can at least laugh at.

I’m sure more good things will happen in this small space soon. I shouldn’t say good, though; I’ll stick with “not as pointless.”
