To a Heavy Hearted Child

Darkness slips in, stealing the ever-present toil.
A release; captive now free from a definite sunrise.
Earth's relative once distant, reforming its web,
That clings to a force, succumb to its will.
No more shall glee escape your lungs; immobility,
No more will your face feign contempt; purity.
A Thoughtless flight with feathers so gold.
An unknown trail taken by all,
Through which a fellow companion,
Is left in a wake of dust by the guiding wanderer.
Upon your travel foliage beckons about,
Tempting your direction; No map, nor sign.
May you abide to blind step, follow thy lead.
At our crossroads we shall meet, nestled in our caverns.
Rested in our dungeon of infinite resignation.
Sweet rain shall fall through our grip,
Piercing thy soft, moist seal; all that remains.
Grasp we shall to our silent scream, holding memories.
Emitting ragged and painful weeps; selfish are we.
Take comfort in soft linen, soothed at last.
Rejoice in remembrance, live for two.
