I think it's safe to say that the popular piece "LOL Cats" has reached cult status. Although some people have yet to "get" the original, a variety of spinoffs have surfaced to keep the tradition alive. College Humor contributer Elaine Carroll has created a Christmas counterpart called LOL Santa.
But as Christmas nears, I realize that I tend to start paying attention to the things that truly matter in my life-- my family, my friend (me), and my money. So to continue with that sentiment, I've moved away from Carroll's shallow, materialistic vision of the LOL Christmas spirit and have applied it towards the roots of the season: LOL Christmas Tree*.

One of my friends had the bright idea to put water in a beer bottle, seal it and put it on the stove. The expected result was for the bottle cap to shoot off. It didn't; the bottle's bottom exploded and it rocketed into the ceiling. We wanted to get it on video, so we tried it again....and this happened.
