Hey Nancy!

Hi!



So what year are you?

I’m going to be a super senior. I have this summer and just one quarter left. I would've walked for commencement BUT I broke my arm so I've been in a cast. So I'd rather walk next year.



Oh man, how'd you break your arm?

I had too much spring break. Innertubing and twisted my arm really bad. Bad enough I fractured my humorous. I was in a cast for 3 1/2 months.



So you're still in the cast or not?

I just took it off last week. Finally!

Where'd you go on spring break?

Lake Mead, Nevada. We were in Vegas first. Then rented a boat house at the lake.



Wow, that sounds like an awesome spring break.

Yes it was!



What're you studying?

I'm studying sociology, psychology, and communications.



That’s ridiculous.

Haha imagine me saying it. That’s a long one.

Hahah, but seriously it is a lot to handle. Maybe that's why I'm going to be a super senior!



Yeah that's pretty impressive. So what’re you up to this summer?

Working in Century City at a law firm.



Why there?

It’s good money, and I'm somewhat interested in paralegal work. We'll see where that goes. The firm wants to pay for my paralegal certificate so I'm leaning towards it.



That's pretty cool. But more importantly, do you have a boyfriend?

NO. No boyfriend and I'd like to keep it that way.



Haha why?

The past 5 or so years of my life was spent in relationships and being single is a lot more fun and that’s what I'm all about. Relationships are too much drama. I'd rather spend my time hanging out with the girls.



That's the way to go.

Don't get me wrong, I love the boys but I would just like to stick to dating.



Do you go on a lot of dates?

Believe it or not, but I've had more dates since my arm injury!



While you were still in a cast?

YES. Being in a cast has not stopped me. I celebrated my 22nd birthday in a cast drunk and everything.



How’d that work out? Could you hook up with a guy wearing a cast?

I don't kiss and tell! Especially to a guy. Let's just say I always make things work and it sure was interesting.



Hahah ok, enough said. Have you ever broken anything before?

Just my arm and a few heartbroken boys.



Hahah, so you live in Cali, how is it out there?

I love the weather here. if New York had Ca weather I'd be there in a heartbeat.



I like the cold sometimes though.

Indeed.



Plus I’m big into sweatpants.

Haha, yeah cold is nice sometimes, like...I like the rain only when I can sleep in. That's always nice, but I hate the rain if I'm walking to class. That’s such a bummer.



Do you have big rain boots? Girls with rain boots are cute.

Haha no way, people in L.A. don't really own rain boots. I see people walk to class in flip-flops when it’s raining! I've been guilty of that.



Yeah I like doing that too. With some sweet mesh shorts.

Yeah, I love basketball shorts. I own quite a few. Really comfortable to lounge around at home but you wouldn't catch me in those outside my apartment.



Do you play basketball?

Yes. I like sports. I didn't play in high school but I play occasional with the boys. I use to play all the time with my ex-boyfriends. I was always the homeboy to the guys. I played tennis in high school, but I've been so inactive these past few months because of my arm. I'm excited to fully heal so I can get back to my active lifestyle. Me and my friends have decided to go skydiving once my arm heals.



Skydiving sounds pretty crazy.

I know! I'm pretty scared to do it, but why not? One life to live. Then again, that's the same thing I thought when I went innertubing. Then I broke my arm. We'll see about skydiving.



Are you in a sorority?

GDI -- god damn independent!



I’ve never heard of that one before.

I'm intelligent and have social skills to make my own friends, not pay for them. But don't get me wrong, I have tons of friends that are affiliated, I just chose not to.



Wow very anti Greek life.

Haha, no I'm not! I just like to make fun of them sometimes. I mean I've gone to rush events, but nothing really stood out for me personally so I opted not to.



Ok, let’s have it. Most embarrassing college moment?

Being at frat party, and busting out the "drop it likes it’s hot" move. I ripped my jeans right down the middle. And mind you, I was not wearing granny's underwear. It was embarrassing! But instead of running home I went to the bathroom where they had a jungle them decoration. Ripped off the fabric and made myself a nice little skirt. It was definitely a "Mentos" commercial moment.
