- What is the closest you've ever been to death?
- I think I was around 5 years old and my family and I were vacationing in Las Vegas. I was in the hotel pool, and couldn't swim properly yet. I think my sister dared me to go into the deep end, and I started to flail around and sink under the water. The (cute guy, even I could tell that at 5 years old) life guard blew his whistle and jumped into the water. He grabbed my arm pretty hard and took me back up to the surface. So not only was I terribly embarrassed, but I had a sore arm the rest of the day too.
- You have to choose one state in the U.S. to get rid of, which one?
- It's a tossup between Wyoming and Utah. Wyoming, for the most part, is boring and flat and nothingness, but at least the northern part of it is gorgeous. So I think Utah's gotta go. Sorry Utahns, but I can say this, because I spent the first 9 years of my life there. There's not a lot of diversity, it's not a particularly pretty state, there's not a whole lot to do, and the Great Salt Lake makes the air stink in the winter time. Ew.
- Mac or PC?
- I've had PCs my whole life (dad's a computer programmer), and I currently own a Toshiba Satellite laptop. PCs are okay, but I cannot TELL you how many hours I've spent manually removing stubborn viruses from my laptop. So I think for my 21st birthday, I'm going to switch to the dark side and get a Mac.
- Have you ever met an internet friend in real life?
- Yes, numerous times. In this day and age, when everyone relies on IMs and texts and stuff, I don't see anything wrong with it. That said, you have to be careful. Make sure you webcam and talk on the phone and stuff before hanging out. Even then, you can still meet up with some creepers. (Stalkers are no fun for anybody!) I'm a shy person, so I think it's great that you can get to know someone beforehand. No one likes strained conversation.
- Why is that one girlfriend from high school such a stupid bitch now who you hate?
- Hahaha. To be perfectly honest, I was pretty frumpy in high school and was just focused mainly on getting out ASAP, so I didn't have many "girlfriends." Those I did have....well, we just drifted apart. Distance, college, etc. Anyone I disliked in high school, I still dislike now. Mainly people who spread rumors and maliciously teased others. I'm not a saint by any means, but still: homie don't play that.
- What part of your body do you hate?
- I don't think I'm a hambeast, but on top of my lower abs, there's a little bit of skin or whatever that I can't get rid of. It just SITS there. Even when I danced and did ab workouts for a gajillion hours a week, it was still there. I'm beginning to think it's just part of how I'm built, and I'm learning to embrace it. What more can you do, you know?
- What was the last book you read?
- A Cell & Molecular Biology text doesn't count, does it? In that case, I think it was Voices of Valor: D-Day, June 6, 1944 by Douglas G. Brinkley and Ronald J. Drez. WWII fascinates me, and it was for sale at Barnes & Noble, so I picked it up. I've also been to the D-Day beaches, so it was neat to read first hand accounts of what happened there 60 years ago. It's really awe inspiring to think that these men, some who were younger than I am at the time, went through that. Talk about heroes.
- Have you ever hooked-up with more than one person in a night?
- I don't do hookups. If you like it, that's awesome, more power to you. Call me old fashioned, but it just doesn't appeal to me. Come to think of it, I don't even think I've made out with more than one person in a night. Oh well.
- How many pounds is "fat" to a girl?
- I think it really depends on the girl and how much she normally weighs. Like, for me, I would consider around...130-135 pounds (most of that fat, not muscle) "fat" for myself. Of course, certain girls can carry weight very very well, so it's a very subjective question. Everyone's built differently, and it's impossible and unfair to use such a generalization for every single girl.
- Which fast food restaurant is sexier?
- I've never heard of a fast food restaurant referred to as "sexy." However, Carl's Jr. has some okay adverts, and when I feel the need for some fast food, I like their fries, shakes, and Famous Star Burger (with cheese!) And the star they have as part of their logo is pretty adorable, too.
