Oh man, this movie was INTENSE. Jack Nicholson plays a criminal and he's freaking awesome. Matt Damon's in this movie too, and so is Leonardo DiCaprio, and they both have Boston accents. Mark Wahlberg's also in this movie and he totally shoots someone, but I won't tell you who because I don't want to ruin it.

So Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio are cops, maybe…but Leonardo DiCaprio's character ends up in jail and also his arm gets broken. It's complicated, so I won't bore you with the details. Also, Matt Damon stabs someone in the stomach. I think it's Leonardo DiCaprio, but the camera cuts away so you can't really tell. But don't worry, he doesn't die because you see him again later. Yeah, that part was awesome…

Oh, but the best part is where Leonardo DiCaprio is in a car with this other dude and he goes "'Do you want him to chop me up and feed me to the poor??' And it's SO intense. I won't tell you who "'him' is because that would give too much away. The best thing about this movie is how it always keeps you guessing. It's like, "'wow, who's good, and who's bad?' It's definitely open for interpretation.

Oh crap, I just remembered this other awesome part, where some guy tells Jack Nicholson his mother is on her way out and Jack Nicholson goes "we all are, act accordingly." It was foreshadowing, because later Jack Nicholson totally kills that guy, or a guy who looks like him or something. AND his mother.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend The Departed, which was directed by Martin Scorsese and is coming to theaters October, 2006.
