Discussing bed preferences with women can be difficult! They always want to talk about chocolate, menstruating, Veronica Mars, hopes, dreams, and ambitions! Ugh! Why can't they just get to the BED TALK! After conducting a scientific, not-fake survey of women on their preferences, I present you the definite list of THE FIVE THINGS WOMEN REALLY LIKE IN BED.

Some women may say they prefer softer mattresses, but firmer mattress are great for people's backs, which will make them happier in the long-run. At the very least, impress a woman by showing her you can research the best kind of mattress for your specific body type before a mattress purchase.

Invest in a bed base! Women agree: the added height makes it easier to get out of bed and provides nice structural support for the mattress. High school boys can get away with having a mattress on the floor, but a bed base is the difference between a BOY and a MAN in bed.

Be confident in your bedding knowledge! Learn to tell a coverlet from a quilt, a continental from a bolster pillow, a pillowcase from a pillow sham. Switch from a heavy down comforter in the winter to a light quilt in the summer to let a lady know that you're practical AND have enough money to afford multiple blankets. Wash your sheets every week, and she won't be able to stop bragging to her friends about your bed habits.

It's the time-old question: DOES THREAD-COUNT MATTER? The resounding answer is YES.  BUT even if your sheets are 400 thread-count, if they're messily lying in a pile at the bottom of your bed, there's NO WAY she's going to be pleased with them. If you only have 50 thread-count sheets, you can make up for it in other ways: consider decorative pillows, a dust ruffle, or a headboard.
Also, no one is impressed with a man who brags about his thread-count, and any guy who goes around saying he has anything above 400 is just looking for attention.

Some women like to have sex in bed, but others prefer to have it in other places or don't like sex or don't want to have it with you. It really depends on the person. Maybe try talking directly to her?
