Ah, football (yes, that football). The world's sport. Bringing together the most misguided, out-of-date graphic design ideas into one monstrous cesspool. OK -- that's being harsh; leagues like the NFL, NBA, and MLB are able to stay on-brand due to a strong central governing body within a wealthy, highly industrialized economy. In the U.S. we have the resources, a lack of historical burden, and a near-monopoly as an authority on the game. Well, inspired by this reddit thread, which asked for the worst club crests you could find, it quickly became clear how many clubs and countries didn't benefit from such tidy infrastructure. How many of these badges were created in MS Paint, use generic clip art you'd find inside Microsoft Word, or just lack any kind of sensibility when it comes to designing a crest (which, at the end of the day, has to be clear enough to wear on your shirt)? Well, if you're going to ask for the ugliest you could find in the world, including teams in the lower divisions of countries that are far from being soccer powerhouses... then I guess you'd find some strange ones like these:
