Everyday, on my way to work, I go to the same coffee shop for my morning cup of joe. And everyday, without fail, the barista finds a way to hilariously mess up the spelling of my name. I know this happens to a lot of people, but some of these were just too funny not to share.
Some are fine. My name is Willie, with an IE, and a lot of time my name written like this:
It's annoying but understandable. Other times, things are WAY worse:
I mean, Hillbe? That's not even a name! It just kept going down from there.
I don't even know how to pronounce that, but clearly it's not a word.
Why he thinks there's a space in the middle of my name is beyond me, but everyone thinks differently I guess.
Can you believe it? HE ACTUALLY TRIED TO SPELL MY NAME WITH NUMBERS. It only got worse from there.
Sorry barista, but that's CLEARLY too many letters for a name.
Even though it was annoying at first, I've actually started looking forward to finding out what new and interesting way my name will be misspelled. It's that fun little morning surprise that keeps me going to my quirky little coffee shop day after day.
See ya tomorrow, Mr. Barista!
