After my roommate and I watched Beerfest several times, we decided that we should host our OWN Beerfest. On 4-21-07 we hosted the "1st Semi-Annual Beerfest" at UMKC! 8 teams participated complete with quarters, volume chug, beer pong, beer die, flip cup, depth charge, and if a tie occured DAS BOOT! We went and bought 2 boots online specifically for Beerfest. Naturally, I had to create a table that would properly fit the occasion (Completely free-hand drawn I might add). Ironically, the finals ended with a tie so it went onto Das Boot just like the movie. The "Iowa Drinking Team" from Iowa University won Beerfest and the $100 cash prize. We are now looking forward to October when the "2nd Semi-Annual Beerfest" will take place in conjunction with Oktoberfest.
