1. Willy Wonka is a cannibalistic murderer.

</ br>

Granted: Wonka is a total creep, if not a psychopath. But some on the internet think that in the world of Wonka's chocolate factory, a secret candy recipe + shockingly easy child injury and possible death (i.e. the Augustus Gloop-sucking tube) = kid-candy. Wouldn't that make it taste a bit funky? Thick? Stringy? Regardless, the argument loses some credibility around the point this FanTheories Wiki editor says he's "not trying to be racist here [about Oompa Loompas], but cannibalism in Africa isn't the rarest of things." Sounds to me like he's just using his pure, bigoted imagination.

With shows like Arrested Development and Community, TV viewers have become accustomed to characters breaking the fourth wall, acknowledging their own existence in a TV show. But before all that came The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Though it was usually a standard three-camera sitcom, there have been a couple times when the Fresh Prince broke the reality of the show for the sake of a joke. Here are five of them, in order from least to most insane.

Just How Old are the Actors Who Play High Schoolers?

At 26, I think I finally look like how I imagined I would at 18, when I was 13. A big part of that misconception comes from the glorified portrayal of High School life in movies and TV. We all know that actors playing teens aren't actual High School age, but exactly how much older are they? I set out to find just that.

Collecting data from 60 teen movies (10 from before 1980, 19 from the 80's, 16 from the 90's, and 15 from 2000 to now), and using the release date of the film as the benchmark, I looked at the ages of 139 male and 91 female roles.

The result? The average age of actors portraying high schoolers in movies is between 21-22 years old. The difference between male and female actors is not drastic (male 21.9, female 21.2), nor does the decade in which the film was made factor in a major difference. Here are some other things I found:

Let's celebrate the box office and critical success of Les Misérables (2012) by listening to a retelling of the story in parody form.

Bullying. It's a problem. Cyberbullying: even scarier, potentially, I mean if you're a mom who doesn't know how computers work. In 2011, ABC Family set out to educate their audience on the pitfalls of letting their children have computers with internet access (the gall!), with the movie Cyberbully (oops, cyberbu//y). By educate, I mean scare with misinformation. Luckily, a YouTube channel by the name of YourMovieSucksDOTorg took a stab at dismantling all the hogwash in the movie, and it blew up on Reddit over the weekend. The review spans 22 minutes over two videos, but it is well worth your watch:

Did you catch that supercut of the times Sia's " Breathe Me " has been used as a soundtrack? Brilliant. Also: taking back the word hack for actual hacking, "too gay to lift," and the Billy Mays dub at the end. Bravo.

In "Twidiots", we collect the choicest thoughts on a particular topic from Twitter's millions of users.

During her performance at the Super Bowl on Sunday, Beyonce threw up what some may THINK was the popular sign of Roc-a-Fella, her husband Jay-Z's massive brand and record label. But according to Twitter, it was ACTUALLY the SECRET gesture of the all-seeing, all-powerful underground organization the Illuminati. What no one else outside of the Twitterverse seems to realize, however, is that the Illuminati's tentacles reach far beyond Mr. and Mrs. Carter.

At President Obama's inauguration this week, Beyonce delivered a rousing performance of the national anthem — one that unfortunately turned out to be lacking a key component: singing. Much of the Twitterverse did not take kindly to Queen B's lip-synching revelation, and had no trouble expressing the extent of their patriotic fury toward Mrs. Z.
