Sure, most "traditional" stuntmen would try to avoid the fan. Most "traditional" stuntmen wouldn't be filming by themselves in their mom's kitchen, either.

It's just as well, if he can't land that trick he wasn't going to find a mate anyway.

This may look fun to try at home, but putting everything together and cleaning up aren't worth the hassle.
