I happen to be chronically ill, since i was about 17. Last time i visited my specialist, and i complained about being SO tired all the time and that it depressed me, he told me, i should view my disease and myself differently. He said: "Having Crohns disease, is like being an athlete, it's top sport for the body to deal with it, it's natural for you to be so tired,...it's the... Read More »
The 7-Eleven Moron
A few years ago, I once worked at a 7-Eleven in one of the worst places of the city. So I had my fair share of dealing with stupid crazy people on a daily basis. But the craziest and stupidest of them all was not a customer, but a co-worker. When she first started working at the store, she would always go for a smoke break. Really long smoke breaks. When my supervisor told her to keep the smoke breaks short, she compliantly did, but it turned for the worst. Her chain smoking kept her "sane", and it became so unbearable for her that she started bawling in front of a long line of customers. And then there was one of those days where we had to deal with a bitchy customer. When the bitchy lady said 'I'm a secret shopper' as she was leaving, my stupid co-worker believed her. Even when I explained to her many times that secret shoppers never reveal themselves, she started to panic, asking the supervisors if they have heard about the secret shopper that day. Worst part was she was planning to go to college. I do hope that her contribution to society are selling burgers and french fries.
I used to be able to get back from lunch at 12:30 and know that there would be a fresh batch of uPick submissions to read, but now I have to actually do some work as it is not being updated everyday!!!!

One day, I walked up to a lady's house where the front door was open. As soon as I rang the bell, I heard the jingle of dog tags & realized I was too far away from the vehicle to get back there in time, so I braced myself.... Read More »
I work at Wal-Mart as a Wireless Sales Associate (basically electronics), and we have this one reoccurring older African-American customer who comes in with the assumption that we are some type of IT or Geek Squad. Well anyways, he comes in about a week ago, and brings his laptop. The laptop that he has is a Compact with Windows XP (a bit outdated I must say). Anyways, he pulls... Read More »
I work private security, we have lately been having a lot of issues with access control and breaches (people not allowed to be there, being there.) so we have one officer who is in charge of training all of the officers in proper breach control. During his breach test, he failed and got a slap on the wrist. During mine, I passed but I missed a minor detail and got written up and... Read More »
