I Fought the Law

Jesus broke the law. So did George Washington. You did, too, and we want to hear about it.

There is a notorious speed trap in Waldo, FL - a city between Gainesville and Jacksonville. One day while returning to Gainesville from Jacksonville I approached Waldo. Knowing about its history, I made sure to do the speed limit (25 MPH, btw) and follow every single traffic law there is. I get through the town unscathed and head back to UF. Nearly 20 miles later, I get pulled over by a Waldo police officer. He asks if I know why I'm being pulled over and I honestly didnt. He told me that while at a 4-way stop in his town, I made an obscene gesture and an old lady. I clearly didnt stick my middle finger up or rub my nipples or whatever he was talking about so I argued with him for a while. After about 5 minutes of me denying, denying, denying, he says to me "So you are positive you didn't stick your tongue out at anyone?" I laughed sooooo hard when he said that. Since when is that considered an obscene gesture AND a crime worthy of following me 20 miles out of town? I said "No sir, I didnt" and he let me go.
