Parents, teachers, bosses, and the general old people population are terrible with technology.

A few years ago, my younger sister had been asking for an iPod and ended up getting the latest nano as an 8th grade graduation present. I went away to college that fall, and when I came home for winter break I asked her how she was liking it, since I was considering buying a new one. She told me she "didn't really use it." I was confused, since she had REALLY wanted it, so I asked why. She said it didnt work. Upon further investigation, I discovered that she had taken it out of the packaging, turned it on, and when it immediately shut off (because it had no battery), she assumed it was broken. Somehow, even though she had seen me using my iPod for years, she didn't understand that you have to plug a new iPod into your computer and charge it for it to work... Keep in mind, this was also over 6 months after she got it.
