When I was in my final year of high school I was doing a presentation on John Adams and used a clip from the HBO miniseries to fill time. Anyway, when I finished and asked if there were any questions, one girl asked, "Is that real footage of John Adams?" I don't know what was more shocking, the fact that she thought film existed in the late 1700's early 1800's or that she had passed the previous 11 grades.
