I happen to be chronically ill, since i was about 17. Last time i visited my specialist, and i complained about being SO tired all the time and that it depressed me, he told me, i should view my disease and myself differently. He said: "Having Crohns disease, is like being an athlete, it's top sport for the body to deal with it, it's natural for you to be so tired,...it's the... Read More »
"What the hell! These year-old footballs aren't full ...
I work in retail.that has a 90 day return policy. I am a customer service. I see it all. One day I was ten minutes into my shift and I get my prize of the day. A gym teacher proceeds to my desk with nineteen footballs. He claims that all of them do not hold air properly. He does not have a receipt and he informs me that my company does not have enough footballs to exchange. The footballs are $25 dollars a piece. He then hands me a bank statement with a .com purchase on it. I ask my manager to look up this receipt so that I can help this guy. Upon looking closer at the bank statement I discover that the purchase was made a year ago. I tell him we can not help him since it is past the 90 days but I do give him a 1-800 number he can call. He commences to tell me how he is never going to shop with this company again and I listen to his rant until he says that if the number does not work then he will then come back and raise hell. I proceed tell him to let me know ahead of time when he will be doing this and then ask him if Tues or Fri is good for him because I am off those days. Management was rolling in the floor as they were repeating the policy and the customer left half laughing and yelling. Small victory there but then the store manager five minutes later returned $50 dollars worth of towels with a receipt that was ten months old. I deal with this bs everyday.
I used to be able to get back from lunch at 12:30 and know that there would be a fresh batch of uPick submissions to read, but now I have to actually do some work as it is not being updated everyday!!!!
Several years ago I worked with a overnight delivery company. It wasn't unusual to run into all sorts of dogs when you made a delivery (including nasty ones.) One day, I walked up to a lady's house where the front door was open. As soon as I rang the bell, I heard the jingle of dog tags & realized I was too far away from the vehicle to get back there in time, so I braced myself.... Read More »
I work at Wal-Mart as a Wireless Sales Associate (basically electronics), and we have this one reoccurring older African-American customer who comes in with the assumption that we are some type of IT or Geek Squad. Well anyways, he comes in about a week ago, and brings his laptop. The laptop that he has is a Compact with Windows XP (a bit outdated I must say). Anyways, he pulls... Read More »
I work private security, we have lately been having a lot of issues with access control and breaches (people not allowed to be there, being there.) so we have one officer who is in charge of training all of the officers in proper breach control. During his breach test, he failed and got a slap on the wrist. During mine, I passed but I missed a minor detail and got written up and... Read More »
