I happen to be chronically ill, since i was about 17. Last time i visited my specialist, and i complained about being SO tired all the time and that it depressed me, he told me, i should view my disease and myself differently. He said: "Having Crohns disease, is like being an athlete, it's top sport for the body to deal with it, it's natural for you to be so tired,...it's the... Read More »
Fired from slave labour.
last summer, i decided to get a job at a clothing store because my friend worked there so i was guaranteed a place, my second day was based around a summer sale and weirdly it was quiet in menswear, to kill my boredom i decided to walk around the store floor, while doing this i spotted a young boy picking up cans of fragrances and spraying them until they were empty, i decided to pace back and forth past him to try and make him stop but when my back turned to him he would just carry on, so i approached him and in my calmest voice said "excuse me, could you stop spraying these, please?" the boy gave me a look of fear before running off, later that day the parents of that boy came back and demanded to the manager that i get fired after claiming that i shouted at and traumatised their son, i then lost my job but the 2 best things were; 1. the person who fired was my friend (thank you so much) 2. the other mangers told me that i won't be paid for the 2 days i worked there because they only start the payroll after 4 days work, now i know what slave labour is like
I used to be able to get back from lunch at 12:30 and know that there would be a fresh batch of uPick submissions to read, but now I have to actually do some work as it is not being updated everyday!!!!

Well anyways, he comes in about a week ago, and brings his laptop. The laptop that he has is a Compact with Windows XP (a bit outdated I must say). Anyways, he pulls... Read More »
I work private security, we have lately been having a lot of issues with access control and breaches (people not allowed to be there, being there.) so we have one officer who is in charge of training all of the officers in proper breach control. During his breach test, he failed and got a slap on the wrist. During mine, I passed but I missed a minor detail and got written up and... Read More »
