I happen to be chronically ill, since i was about 17. Last time i visited my specialist, and i complained about being SO tired all the time and that it depressed me, he told me, i should view my disease and myself differently. He said: "Having Crohns disease, is like being an athlete, it's top sport for the body to deal with it, it's natural for you to be so tired,...it's the... Read More »
Caring.
Well I have worked with elderly in many diffrent situations since 9 years back. I always feel like I do my work well and I know im welll liked, but this day was one of those days you wished you stayed home. This lady we took care of this time is just like anyone else just that she doesnt wanna walk. And it was starting to get late so we were (2 of us, me and my co-worker) helping her change into her nightgown. And we also usually help them on with some kind adult diapers. Well on this time when we got her up standing my co-worker was going to put the diaper on place when she got a pice of poo on her hand (we wear gloves everytime we go on to someone), and the elderly lady says " I dont need the bathroom anymore", me and my co-worker looked at eachother deeple irritated and I asked "Are you sure? Shouldnt we at least go there just in case?" Well we argument with her back and forth for a couple minutes until she says ok. The moment we are about to put her there she poo´s everywhere on the seat and of course a big load got on our pants and when she is on the toilet she laughs and says "Feel dirty now?" That day was the most awful day in my life and we have low pay just becouse we are substitutes. I work much more than many of the co-workers I have but they earn more than double per hour. Do I have to say I still hoping to win the lottery?
I used to be able to get back from lunch at 12:30 and know that there would be a fresh batch of uPick submissions to read, but now I have to actually do some work as it is not being updated everyday!!!!
Several years ago I worked with a overnight delivery company. It wasn't unusual to run into all sorts of dogs when you made a delivery (including nasty ones.) One day, I walked up to a lady's house where the front door was open. As soon as I rang the bell, I heard the jingle of dog tags & realized I was too far away from the vehicle to get back there in time, so I braced myself.... Read More »
I work at Wal-Mart as a Wireless Sales Associate (basically electronics), and we have this one reoccurring older African-American customer who comes in with the assumption that we are some type of IT or Geek Squad. Well anyways, he comes in about a week ago, and brings his laptop. The laptop that he has is a Compact with Windows XP (a bit outdated I must say). Anyways, he pulls... Read More »
I work private security, we have lately been having a lot of issues with access control and breaches (people not allowed to be there, being there.) so we have one officer who is in charge of training all of the officers in proper breach control. During his breach test, he failed and got a slap on the wrist. During mine, I passed but I missed a minor detail and got written up and... Read More »
