My girlfriend's birthday fell on the same day as a big music festival in NYC, so she decided to make a sort of celebration out of it. Along with us two, her brother and her BFF since forever came. We were really excited because Santigold was playing, James Murphy (of LCD Soundsystem) was doing a DJ set and it's really hard to see him live anymore, and Passion Pit was also performing. We decided to pre-game before, since that is what you do at music festivals, but we were short on time and I wasn't drunk yet, so me and her BFF filled a 2 liter soda bottle with vodka and soda and drank it on the walk over. It was really sugary so I couldn't tell how much I had to drink and by the time we got to the turnstiles, I completely blacked out. Also, I was told I couldn't find my ticket. They tried to log into my e-mail from an iPhone, but since I was so drunk, I couldn't remember my password. Somehow they got me in, and I fell asleep on the lawn and slept through all 3 shows. Her BFF drank just as much as me and was totally fine. The only shows I was awake for was Kid Cudi, but he played all of his new depressing stuff, so we left halfway through. My girlfriend was really sad, but ended up rolling later so it was all good.
