I happen to be chronically ill, since i was about 17. Last time i visited my specialist, and i complained about being SO tired all the time and that it depressed me, he told me, i should view my disease and myself differently. He said: "Having Crohns disease, is like being an athlete, it's top sport for the body to deal with it, it's natural for you to be so tired,...it's the... Read More »
I dug up a dead cat.
I'm the foreman for a company that installs sprinkler systems in yards for grass and flower beds. A few days ago, we were digging in someones yard for the installation of a new system. While digging, I came across a trash bag. This did not surprise me since we come across all kinds of trash in the ground. What did surprise me was that I couldn't cut through the bag with my shovel like normal. So after a few minutes of chopping at the plastic bag with a shovel, I got down on my knees to try and pull it out. About that time, I noticed a smell. After picking around the bag a little longer, I got up and gave it one more good chop, aaaaaand that's when the dead cat fell out. I definitely dug up the customers dead cat. If you have old pets in your yard, please let the sprinkler guy know. It'll save them lots of gagging and hand scrubbing.
I used to be able to get back from lunch at 12:30 and know that there would be a fresh batch of uPick submissions to read, but now I have to actually do some work as it is not being updated everyday!!!!

As soon as I rang the bell, I heard the jingle of dog tags & realized I was too far away from the vehicle to get back there in time, so I braced myself.... Read More »

Well anyways, he comes in about a week ago, and brings his laptop. The laptop that he has is a Compact with Windows XP (a bit outdated I must say). Anyways, he pulls... Read More »
I work private security, we have lately been having a lot of issues with access control and breaches (people not allowed to be there, being there.) so we have one officer who is in charge of training all of the officers in proper breach control. During his breach test, he failed and got a slap on the wrist. During mine, I passed but I missed a minor detail and got written up and... Read More »
