Calwyn Shurgold, originally from Brantford Ontario Canada, is an Actor and award winning Comedian. He began performing stand up comedy in 2007 shortly after joining a student comedy club at York University. In 2010 Calwyn was the winner of the nation-wide comedy competition The You Discover Comic Search, and performed on Entertainment Tonight Canada's New Years Eve broadcast from Niagara Falls. In 2011 Calwyn acted in the short film Stealin' Home, and in 2012 Calwyn acted in the short film Framed. Both of these films were officially selected to play in The Short Film Corner at The Cannes Film Festival. Calwyn produces his own live monthly comedy variety show in Toronto called "The Shurgold Show".
