The Finale(tdown)
Ok so I am bit disappointed, and I hope that I am not the only one who is. The finale was a bit of a letdown, maybe because the two lead-up episodes were pretty fantastic, but this was weak nonetheless.
Sylar escaping into the sewers at the end, I know people are going to say ‘But it is SO comic book of them to do that!’ Forget that, it’s beat let him die, all that bad ass sword training heroes does and he doesn’t go in for the coup d’ grace and decapitate the creepy brain eater. We don’t need to have that bad guy anymore, they have hinted at a bunch already. Molly says that the worst boogie-man of them all can see her back. We have a chance to see a good old fashion marvel team up of Peter and Nikkica going after Sylar but no, Peter makes her go to her family.
Could they have jammed family more down our throat in this episode, any chance they got a character would mention family, whether it was pregnant wife, daughter, brother, mother, son, husband…Everyone. I don’t need any more reminders about how important family is my mom calls me and tells me that every weekend I don’t go visit her in the hospital.
Also Nathan’s speech when he came to rescue Peter? Yuck, gag me with a presidential spoon. We get it, just fly him into outer space and do it fast, because remember he is about to microwave midtown. Why couldn’t Claire just shoot him? Wouldn’t Nathan still be alive? And also couldn’t they shoot him in the base of the brain and then take the bullet out and have him come back to life. It has already happened twice in the series.
Also Parkman and D.L. can really tough it out through those bullet wounds huh?
Now there are some things that I didn’t hate about this episode, actually a number of things I that gave me the fanboner I need:
-Parkman’s line “ I left my pregnant wife 3000 miles away, he is a bad guy, I am a cop, I am going after him.
-When Nikkica grabbed the parking meter, and dropped the pain on Sylar.
-Following that Petrelli taking off his jacket to really get down.
-Hiro seeing his childhood Hero right before battle in the end.
-Nikki or was it Jessica getting a pep talk from Jessica or was it Nikki.
-When it is revealed that the woman who hit on McDreamy was also Meredith’s sister! Holy Cow!
-When Micah fixed the elevator I got super excited because they were working as a team, all they need now is some spandex suits and a paralyzed leader with a bicced head.
-Unlike Lost Heroes doesn’t leave you with TV-blue balls, where nothing ever happens. I like that the season wrapped and the next season is starting with a new plot, no cliffhangers

Penultimate Episode!
There is nothing I love saying more than the word penultimate though all it really means is second to last. If you told your friends you came in penultimate in the office 5K fun run, they would be super impressed, but you were just really one place away from DFL.
So much awesome stuff happened in this episode that I am having a hard time balancing my laptop on my Heroes-induced erection. This show has never been one to hesitate about killing people, but last night was end of The Departed types of killing.
Bennet killing Eric Roberts was almost too great for me. Just seeing a guy who has no powers except that he must protect his daughter is pretty fracking sweet. He goes right up to him no hesitation and gives him a double tap in the side of his skull. I thought we were going to have a Mexican standoff right then and there (instead it happened 30 seconds later with Mohinder). Bennet just stepped up and did what had to be done.
Speaking of doing what had to be done D.L. taking out Linderman. Watching Linderman’s eyes fill with blood was pretty sweet. Seeing that gaping hole in his head as he landed, then just sitting there hoping that he doesn’t heal. Rooting against him not so much because he is a bad guy, but mostly because it would be lame if he healed himself and came back.
Then Ted being killed by Sylar we all knew was inevitability. I for some strange reason started to really like Ted, he cared so much about his mistakes, so much to the point that while he was on his death bed, he was more concerned with the radioactivity leaking out of his body, or whatever he said he was leaking…. How embarrassing?
Ok now for some quick hits that I would like to get out there
-So the shape shifter chick is really a fat ugly chick. That is why she is being so nice to Micah!
-What did that computer do to Micah? There was that weird moment, my guess cyber-molestation.
-Will Bennet kill Molly? I say no because she is somebody’s daughter too.
-Does Nathan’s kids have any special powers? Or is it a recessive gene and both your parents would have to have powers?
-My favorite moment is the hint that next season might take place in the past and be all the older heroes fighting alongside one another. Cannot wait for the (just plain) ultimate episode next week.
No Haitian this week…Finally…I remember everything; yeah I’d love one of these brownies. What is in them? Oh crap…

Overall I thought the episode was one of the lesser ones (though ti could be because I am watching it, and writing this super late. I am really excited for the rest of the season that’s for sure.
A classic device in all action movies/shows is to see the ‘bad guy’ with his/her mom/dad. Last night’s episode had a great Sylar/Mama Sylar scene. Nothing creepier than seeing an over protective mother touching her child inappropriately on the face and force-feeding him a tuna sandwich. We see her obsessively collect snow globes, worship the ground that her son works on but in the same breath be back-handed with some verbal abuse. Though the Heroes version of this classic scene takes an interesting turn when we see the usually depressed killer mourning over the accidental death of a loved one, instead we see Sylar painting a mural with her blood. If there was a word that combined bad ass and nasty I would use it here…how about bad-nassty. I like that.
I also enjoyed the interaction between Micah and the shape-shifter chick. I thought for sure we were going see the classic, smart kid running amok in a hotel as bad guys chase him. Thank god we didn’t instead it is finally revealed that the woman changes perception and not just shape-shifts. That was pretty scary. If I was Micah, I would have ran to the nearest condom machine and used my gear-head knowledge to get one out, the second a woman in a towel says to me ‘I can make you see things that would screw you up for life’ I would be 100 percent on board. Ha, I am kidding. Who uses condoms? It is like swimming with sneakers on, it just doesn’t feel right.
What did Nikki/Jessica complain about when DL took her through the wall. How did she get that far over to the hotel, but then decide to complain? Weird, don’t ever do that to me again.
Does Molly’s power seem a bit to similar to Cerebro (the computer from X-men)?
Since I didn’t love this episode, I am going to write a bunch of things that I want to see in the next two episodes.
-How does Peter get the scar? Does his razor sharp Spider-Man 3 bangs cut his face wide open.
-I would like to see Cheerleader blow Peter (‘s brains out, with a gun).
-More towels on the shape-shifter jumping in and out of other hot chicks in towels bodies.
-More of Fall-Out Boy using radioactivity to start cars, however that works.
-Eric Roberts reprising his role as Alex Grady in Best of the Best (one of the best team-based Karate movies of 1989 featuring Chris Penn)
-Fire vs. Ice showdown!

Last nights Heroes was awesometacular, I really really enjoyed it. I was generally surprised that Nathan was actually Sylar! I had no idea, that moment when he had Claire in his study, he was acting so creepy. He was most certainly not acting the way a father should, that hug lingered on for just enough for me to report him to child services.
Nothing has gotten me more excited on this show than Peter’s badassitude. He is finally an interesting character on this show. Sweet scar, he’s blasting Nikki/Jessica, he has all these powers and he sits invisible at a strip club, assumedly so he could burn one out in peace. That moment when Peter squared off with Sylar in the hallway was so ‘Return of the Jedi’ different color radiation powers, pretty reminiscent of Vader and Luke’s light sabers.
Though more ridiculous than that was Mohinder holding the door shut as he tried to get Hiro and Ando to teleport out. How the hell was he doing that, he was leaning up against the door, as flashes of bright radiation is swinging it open. He was holding back presumably the two most powerful ‘people’ on earth just by leaning up against a door? Unless that is Mohinder’s power prevention of entry (I could have used that power when I pledged a frat).
I also liked that Parkman became a real scumbag, mostly because I couldn’t give two shits what he was doing before. He is fucking over people left and right tasering poor little Hiro and hiding his own kid presumably with powers (probably that kid from the previews, I want to give up watching previews but I just can’t).
Speaking of previews what is that little kid’s power? The kid that is presumably more ridiculous than everyone else? Speaking of ridiculous how could they have never found that timeline in Isaac’s loft? Is that the best place for Hiro to set up the Palace of Hirotude? Ok enough of these speaking ofs! Speaking of enough here are some complaints I have about the show
-The plotline is following a plot very similar to that of ‘The Watchmen’ by Alan Moore one of the greatest comics every written.
-It is also similar to ‘The Civil War’ no not the one fought over ‘slavery’ (still don’t believe that exists). I am talking about the Civil War from Marvel Comics, which kind of copied the Watchmen and now Heroes is kind of copying.
-This plotline is also pretty similar to the plot of America, the country that a lot of us live in. Seems as though Jeff Kring is pretty anti-Giuliani.
Also is the Haitian finally dead? Can I rest easy and know that I will remember this tomorrow?
Wait hold on one second there is someone at the door, I will be right back…
Oh Fuck.
