Adventure! Romance! Mastering Powers! Revenge! Resurrection!
Last episode had it all. I really enjoyed it, we are unveiling some secrets, and people are dying (at least for a short period of time).

Whether or not Noah is actually dead, Mohinder shot him in the face, that was pretty bad ass. There has not been a more pointless character on a TV show in a long time. I am glad he did something that was active. “You have gone native.” That was certainly the line of the night. </>

Though from the looks of it, next week should pick up. I am a huge fan of the ‘fill in lost time’ device in TV and movies. It is really fun to see what has happened in a retroactive way. In this instance it seemed like they were pretty far along in the season and realized they took a lot of liberties and were like let’s jump back and clear some of this up.
</>

I am right back on the Heroes train. I am excited there is a lot of great stuff going on. Battles in the mindfield, making out while sharing headphones, Mohinder torn between sides, Peter traveling through dimensions. This is really starting to take off. I don’t want the season to end, I want to watch it on DVD, so that I don’t have to wait and I can fast forward through all the nothing.

One thing that made this episode great, is that the two storylines that are the least important were never touched upon. The New Orleans hero and Los Wonder Twins, what happens to them doesn’t matter when all the original characters have these great storylines.</>

I was so nonplus about this that I watched The Marine with John Cena. I am not about to say I liked that movie, because I didn’t at all. I knew full well what I was getting into and I still went for it over Heroes. I know last week everyone of the commenters was up in arms about me saying I didn’t like the episode, and that I shouldn’t be writing these articles if I don’t like the show. I will defend my stance by saying I loved the show, I use to love, and I still want to love it. I feel like I am at the end of the relationship with a really hot girl, who is spending so much time with ‘an old friend’ and I just stick around because she will get over it, and their will be more action sequences and people using their powers, and us renting movies together to watch.</>

I can barely tune in to Heroes anymore. I am not excited by it, it’s been how many episodes and nothing has really happened. Still we wait, because Kring did this to us last year. He let us go a couple of episodes of boring stuff and then Bamf! Hits us with some awesome. Instead the ‘cliffhangers’ and ‘suspense’ and ‘interesting moments’ are all so lame. Fine introduce more characters with similar powers that will arbitrarily connect and we are supposed to be excited. </>

It made the episode seem to move a little slow, though there was enough interesting stuff, to not make me tune in to The Hills. The most exciting part of the episode was Sylar, or Gabriel Gray. Sylar is great, he seems to be so creepy, but he is at it his creepiest when he is trying to be fake endearing. It works so well. When he says ‘Oh Golly’ or ‘I know Dr. Suresh,’ makes my skin crawl.
</>

Prepare for creepiness and subtle racism. I wonder if he will get a job at copy kingdom too? Is Mohinder’s boss, Needlenose Ned, Ned the Head, Ned Ryerson from Groundhog’s Day? I believe so. He looks so familiar, its not listed as him on IMDB, but I trust my gut.</>

I didn’t realize how much I missed this show, it’s like that hot ex-girlfriend that you see out at the bar six months later and realize how good you had it. I thought I was fine without the show, but seeing it again at happy hour made me realize that it is way better than wanking off. Now for a little character catch up.
So we got to see some new characters, Los Wonder Twins, the American band Flowers In The Attic siblings. It seems as though their power is to make people have blood tears, something that would make a bunch of Christians pilgrimage to them to have them bless their invalid children.</>

Yuck, gag me with a presidential spoon. We get it, just fly him into outer space and do it fast, because remember he is about to microwave midtown. Why couldn’t Claire just shoot him? Wouldn’t Nathan still be alive? And also couldn’t they shoot him in the base of the brain and then take the bullet out and have him come back to life. It has already happened twice in the series.

Also Parkman and D.L. can really tough it out through those bullet wounds huh?

Now there are some things that I didn’t hate about this episode, actually a number of things I that gave me the fanboner I need:

-Parkman’s line “ I left my pregnant wife 3000 miles away, he is a bad guy, I am a cop, I am going after him.

-When Nikkica grabbed the parking meter, and dropped the pain on Sylar.

-Following that Petrelli taking off his jacket to really get down.

-Hiro seeing his childhood Hero right before battle in the end.

-Nikki or was it Jessica getting a pep talk from Jessica or was it Nikki.

-When it is revealed that the woman who hit on McDreamy was also Meredith’s sister! Holy Cow!

-When Micah fixed the elevator I got super excited because they were working as a team, all they need now is some spandex suits and a paralyzed leader with a bicced head.

-Unlike Lost Heroes doesn’t leave you with TV-blue balls, where nothing ever happens. I like that the season wrapped and the next season is starting with a new plot, no cliffhangers

</>

How embarrassing?

Ok now for some quick hits that I would like to get out there

-So the shape shifter chick is really a fat ugly chick. That is why she is being so nice to Micah!
-What did that computer do to Micah? There was that weird moment, my guess cyber-molestation.
-Will Bennet kill Molly? I say no because she is somebody’s daughter too.
-Does Nathan’s kids have any special powers? Or is it a recessive gene and both your parents would have to have powers?

-My favorite moment is the hint that next season might take place in the past and be all the older heroes fighting alongside one another. Cannot wait for the (just plain) ultimate episode next week.

No Haitian this week…Finally…I remember everything; yeah I’d love one of these brownies. What is in them? Oh crap…
</>

It is like swimming with sneakers on, it just doesn’t feel right.

What did Nikki/Jessica complain about when DL took her through the wall. How did she get that far over to the hotel, but then decide to complain? Weird, don’t ever do that to me again.

Does Molly’s power seem a bit to similar to Cerebro (the computer from X-men)?

Since I didn’t love this episode, I am going to write a bunch of things that I want to see in the next two episodes.

-How does Peter get the scar? Does his razor sharp Spider-Man 3 bangs cut his face wide open.

-I would like to see Cheerleader blow Peter (‘s brains out, with a gun).

-More towels on the shape-shifter jumping in and out of other hot chicks in towels bodies.

-More of Fall-Out Boy using radioactivity to start cars, however that works.

-Eric Roberts reprising his role as Alex Grady in Best of the Best (one of the best team-based Karate movies of 1989 featuring Chris Penn)

-Fire vs. Ice showdown!

</>

Unless that is Mohinder’s power prevention of entry (I could have used that power when I pledged a frat).

I also liked that Parkman became a real scumbag, mostly because I couldn’t give two shits what he was doing before. He is fucking over people left and right tasering poor little Hiro and hiding his own kid presumably with powers (probably that kid from the previews, I want to give up watching previews but I just can’t).

Speaking of previews what is that little kid’s power? The kid that is presumably more ridiculous than everyone else? Speaking of ridiculous how could they have never found that timeline in Isaac’s loft? Is that the best place for Hiro to set up the Palace of Hirotude? Ok enough of these speaking ofs! Speaking of enough here are some complaints I have about the show

-The plotline is following a plot very similar to that of ‘The Watchmen’ by Alan Moore one of the greatest comics every written.

-It is also similar to ‘The Civil War’ no not the one fought over ‘slavery’ (still don’t believe that exists). I am talking about the Civil War from Marvel Comics, which kind of copied the Watchmen and now Heroes is kind of copying.

-This plotline is also pretty similar to the plot of America, the country that a lot of us live in. Seems as though Jeff Kring is pretty anti-Giuliani.

Also is the Haitian finally dead? Can I rest easy and know that I will remember this tomorrow?

Wait hold on one second there is someone at the door, I will be right back…
Oh Fuck.

The Morning After Heroes 4.30.07

Last nights Heroes was awesometacular, I really really enjoyed it. I was generally surprised that Nathan was actually Sylar! I had no ide…I am having such bad déjà vu right now...don't know what it could be
</>

Did I mention surfing?) Why was Mr. Bennet just sitting there making Parkman do all the work for the escape? Was he paralyzed or drugged or something? I kept thinking that he was in the other room doing that and that was the shape shifter or something. Boy was I way off! Though I am glad they escaped now we can follow their plotline as they ride a bus to NYC. Excitement!

Sylar is a great character, he ‘shops’ for more powers as if the world was a giant video game. Hmmm, since I gained a level I think I want to put character points in future painting. So awesome, it reminds me of those old days around the old Dungeons and Dragons table, gaining levels and learning more languages. I think I am truly jealous.

I was kind of hoping that the Sylar v. Peter fight was going to go on for a bit more than that. Though the wall of broken glass attack was pretty sweet, how did it hit Peter in the back of the head? He turned invisible then turned his back to the attacker? From all this we can learn one major thing, the way to kill (albeit temporarily) Claire or Peter is to jam something into their brain. As soon as Claire turns eighteen I am going to kill her temporarily.

Hiro meets Future Hiro, oh man! This was the second coolest part of the episode for me. I thought it was pretty sweet that he gets to meet himself from the future, no touching. Everyone knows you can’t touch the past you. Unless of course the Heroes universe doesn’t follow the same laws as the BTTF universe. Still I would have so many questions to ask myself from the future, most of them being which horse should I bet on in the Derby (May 5th people, get those juleps flowing).

Ok now for my favorite part of the episode, is Nathan pretty much playing Rudy Giuliani? He is going to take a tragedy help NYC get through it then run for president on that platform alone. That’s pretty ham-fisted and I love every minute of it. Linderman is using this tragedy as a chance for him to get his hand in the pockets of some big players. Wow, talk about ‘art’ imitating ‘life’ I use both those terms loosely so no one thinks I am a douche bag.

Which I am.</>

God that makes me angry.

Ando is back, I miss him and he looks so precious in his little uniform.

Petrelli’s mom? Huge Bad ass, can’t wait to hear more about her.

The Moment That Could Have Been

Linderman: Petrelli do you like vegetables?
Petrelli: Yeah…I'm married to one! Power-Sucker is learning how to use his abilities, but he may have just burned a bridge with Invisible Dundee, which makes me sad, I really loved his character. Anyone who can turn invisible and be that bad ass with a bo staff would make a tight ninja.

I am also a huge fan of teaming up a la the X-men/X-factor/X-force or
any other non-X groups. ESPig, Fall Out Boy, and Princess Emoticon
teaming up makes me happy in my special area. All they are missing is spandex body suits, especially the girl. Seriously she is wicked hot, there is something especially sexy about a girl I could go down on, and she could check my fantasy football stats…with her MIND!

I was very happy when Sylar killed The Adventures of Baron Von Munchausen reject Sonar-chanic. She annoyed me, its also great that Sylar finally has shown some weakness. Spooky dude with a weird MO and a weakness, makes for a great super-villian.

The only thing about the episode that made me sad was when the Asian Wondertwins parted ways, I haven't cried that much since the old lady forgot who James Garner was in The Notebook.

…

Sorry for the short article this week guys, I passed out at the computer and must have cut my neck on something, because I have these two little nicks on my neck, and an affinity for the strong silent Haitian type.</>
