    For years the comic strip "Marmaduke" has baffled readers with it's complex constructions, layered humor and subtle wit, leaving the most of us totally lost and desperate for an explanation. That's why the world is lucky to have Joe Mathlete, the only man who truly comprehends Marmaduke. Here, he does us the favor of explaining it...finally!

    Marmaduke's owner-girl jokingly makes reference to an old superstition in order to explain to her friend that her hulking, monstrous dog hunts down and mauls every cat he meets.
