The only other entry i would have for a giant moth contest. This one's wing span is about 1.5 times the other one's, but the body's about half the size...and it didn't try to kill us. Fuckin' Belize.

(this is the first of 3 photos that go together) So we were in Belize on study abroad and we stayed in a convent for a couple nights. One night while we were there, I found this giant moth and tried to get rid of it. It started flying around and another student started trying to swat it out of the air with the $20 machete I had purchased earlier that day. I was afraid he might actually break something like a crucifix or a nun. The moth was the same size as a small bird.
