MSU Cedar Fest 2008: The Front Line (Unlawful Assembly)

I stood and waited until I literally got pelted with a gas grenade. Awesome footage of the explosions and the chaos! This one is by far the best one on YouTube.rnrnIn the beginning you see the cops rolling up and they said something like "By the Jurisdiction of the City of East Lansing, this has now been declared an unlawful assembly, immediately disband. Any person who remains on the premises will be subject to arrest."rnrnYou can see some people throw beer bottle at the cops and obviously nobody responded to the call to disband.rnrnA minute later at the other end of the street an explosion went off followed by more and more.rnrnThen, where I was standing, they started shooting more gas at us and I stayed back to get a good shot.rnrnAs I was walking, a cop threw a grenade with his hand (so he can aim better) and slid it right at my feet and it blew up right under me. Another one that was shot out of a grenade launcher went right by my head and blew up right in front.rnrnThen it cuts to about 3 minutes later when they threw some more gas at us.rnrnWhat a night.
