'Back Dorm Boyz' Original Performance

The Back Dorm Boys—also referred to as the Chinese Backstreet Boys—is a lip-synching duo from Guangzhou, China, comprised of Wei Wei and Huang Yixin. The two Guangzhou Arts Institute students quickly rose to Internet fame after posting their first video in March 2005. Initially, their videos were just posted on the local network at their college, but their peers quickly shared the videos. The boys' video for "I Want it That Way" instantly became a viral video sensation. While still students (they graduated in 2006) the BDB became spokespeople for Motorola in China, as well as Sina.com (a popular Chinese Internet portal). Recently, they signed a 5-year contract with the Beijing talent company Taihe Rye.
