Cop Shoots Himself in Foot
While giving a weapons demonstration for children of the Orlando Youth Minority Golf Association in early 2004, DEA Agent Lee Paige accidentally shot himself in the foot with what he thought was an unloaded gun. Footage of the 45-year-old's painful--both emotionally and physically--exhibition quickly surfaced on YouTube and garnered millions of views worldwide. The video's unforeseen success resulted in Paige filing a lawsuit against the U.S. government. He claimed that the new level of recognition caused him to lose work, as he could no longer act as an undercover agent or give presentations. Unfortunately, news of the lawsuit only increased the popularity of the video.
