“Leave Britney Alone!” shows Chris Crocker (stage name) riding an emotional roller-coaster while criticizing the media’s negative coverage of Britney Spears. Crocker filmed the video in his grandparent’s basement in Tennessee, and has made an effort to keep his real name and exact location private for safety concerns. The video that made Crocker famous was actually the second “Leave Britney Alone!”. “Leave Britney Alone!” (Part One) was filmed on September 9th, 2007 and, apparently, didn't work. “Leave Britney Alone!”(Part Two) was filmed the next day. In only 24 hours, “Leave Britney Alone!” (Part Two), received over 2 million views on YouTube which elevated Chris Crocker to Internet celebrity status. The media barons tormenting Britney Spears are still at large.
