Community: Hey, really excited to meet up again on the 19th.
NBC: The 19th?
Community: Yeah, y’know, we’re supposed to meet up.
NBC: Oh, hey, about that. It looks like I’ll probably be busy that day.
Community: Oh. Okay. It’s just that we rescheduled to the 19th for you, even though Dan couldn’t make it.
NBC: Yeah, I’m sorry. I’m the worst. To be honest I sort of knew then that the 19th might not work, and I thought you’d just want to cancel the whole thing with Dan gone.
Community: No. I can still make it.
NBC: Ah. Yeah. Well, I’ve got this doctor’s appointment with this doctor that’s a monkey. It’s this whole thing.
Community: I thought you said that was on Wednesday?
NBC: Oh, yeah. I guess I’m thinking of something else.
Community: Okay, maybe the weekend after that then?
[time stamp many hours later]
NBC: [Sorry, I just got that text. I was out of range or something.] I don’t know. Why don’t we just play things by ear?
Community: Alright, well I’m ready to go whenever.
NBC: Okay.
Community: Like, I’m ready to go right now. You just say the word and we’ll make this happen.
NBC: Got it.
[time stamp many hours later]
Community: You DO still want to hang out, right?
NBC: Totally. Going into a movie now, so I have to turn my phone off. We’ll talk later.
