As in United 93 and Bourne Ultimatum, Paul Greengrass takes an action movie premise and removes all Hollywood cliches, creating a film that's exciting without being shallow.
I haven't actually seen this movie (no time between work and childcare) but with the subject matter and overwhelming praise, I'm confident this is one of the best of 2013.
This rom-com is kind of shitty but when you and your wife only go out two times in a calendar year, you need something that doesn't kill the chance of sex afterwards. And Anna Faris is always a delight.
Absolutely breathtaking documentary from the descriptions I've read.
Sounds like something Mark Ruffalo would be in and if he is, definitely check it out. If not, maybe skip?
Whichever one is the baseball movie is the one I'm endorsing (although I haven't seen it) -- we need baseball movies.
Something with a dog? Watched part of this on demand and on mute while feeding the baby. Anna Faris is so charming.
Didn't see, no time -- but I think people should stop moralizing to Miley Cyrus like she's a little kid and just go see this movie.
Just remembered I saw this! Don't take that as criticism, I just get so forgetful when I'm tired. Anyway, this is definitely a movie!
TLDNS-BLG (Too Long Did Not See But Looked Good).
Grip-the-seat tension, a terrifying subplot about a sick child and an absolutely heartbreaking performance by Julianne Moore in this movie that I now realize was probably a dream.
This is a masterpiece: the trailer made my daughter laugh for the first time. (Also it has Anna Faris.)
