A native of Chicago, Billy Jackson has been involved with many National & International Productions, but in 2005, while in college, he started to pursue acting on a more personal level.
He has long been involved with the entertainment industry, appearing on Entertainment tonight in a Ninja Turtles segment at the age of 6. Billy Jackson has appeared in more then 2 dozen short and feature films both Indie and Big Budget.
When he was twelve, he was contacted by Walt Disney in regards to his sketches, that at his age were brilliant.
In 2004 he became the first African American to win The American Academy of Art Chicago Scholarship competition, but turned it down to attend the neighboring, but most famous, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he received his degree in Art Education with a minor in Filmmaking.
While in college he made numerous local and national commercial appearances around the country, including several history channel epics, and in a 2002 Interview he was quoted by News Reporter, Quentina Metcalf as "being thankful for all of his blessings, including being a 2004 Golden Apple Scholar, and his first major feature accomplishment, "Holiness In Time", in which he gives an enormous amount of credit to his mother, Kathy Dowdell.
Shortly after the passing of his Grandmother In 2005 he completed a British Petroleum commercial under Oscar Winning Director, Jessica Yu, and in 2003 his production Company, Professional Artists At Work, Inc" completed the "All of Egypt"commercial Spec
In 2010 Billy's production company completed a series of short-spec's available on Youtube and social networking sites 2 of which, I Love Billy, and "Quilvia Browne strikes Again", gained national exposure and nobility.
